Ahara

Nutrition and Dietetics

Ahara refers to all aspects of food intake what we eat, how we eat, and its impact on the body and mind. In Ayurveda, it is considered a fundamental pillar of health. Nutrition and Dietetics within Ahara studies the properties of various foods, includes guidelines for proper food combinations, meal timing, digestion (agni), and seasonal or constitutional dietary modifications.

Ayurveda Therapy

& Panchakarma

Knowledge about various treatments in Ayurveda including full body external treatments like Abhyangam (oil massage), swedana (steam therapy), local treatments like shirodhara, lepa, basti, and many more. Along with this knowledge about internal treatment, Panchakarma treatment which can be roughly translated as Detox treatments including Vamana (emesis), Virechana (purgation), Basti (medicated enema), Nasya (nasal therapy), and Raktamokshana (bloodletting).

Women Care

& Ayurveda

Knowledge about Ayurveda’s holistic approach to women’s health, focusing on balance of doshas, hormonal harmony, and life-stage-specific care. It includes guidelines specific to menstrual health, fertility, pregnancy and menopause. Guidelines include proper diet (ahara), lifestyle (vihara), herbal formulations, and therapies to support reproductive health, mental wellbeing, skin and hair health, and overall vitality.

Dravyaguna

Ayurvedic Herbalism

Dravyaguna is the Ayurvedic science that studies medicinal substances mainly herbs and their properties, actions, and therapeutic uses. It explains each dravya (substance) based on rasa (taste), guna (qualities), virya (potency), vipaka (post-digestive effect), and prabhava (special action). Dravyaguna helps understand how different herbs work in the body, how they balance doshas, and how they can be used safely and effectively in treatment. It forms the foundation of Ayurvedic pharmacology and herbal medicine.
